Enclosed please find our winterization/Spring Commissioning Contract for 2009-2010. We have done a major clean up of our Clinton, Ct. storage yard to expand our space available for storage. We strongly encourage all boaters not to cut corners on winterization. We have had to perform major repairs on nine boats this season due to improper winterization. Having The Boat Center perform your winterization is inexpensive and provides insurance and peace of mind that the job has been done correctly. We have broken out the cost for replacing Outdrive fluid this year so be sure to check your contract closely. The Boat Center is continuing our program to assist boaters in preparing for next season. Many routine repair, maintenance and commissioning jobs are put off until Spring when the yard is traditionally the busiest and least able to perform quality repairs and commissioning on a timely basis. Also, many boaters trailer their boats to the yard in the Fall for winterization and then again in the Spring for commissioning and maintenance. We recommend having these items completed over the Winter and be ready to hit the water as soon as the weather allows next Spring. We will be utilizing our new building for Winter repair work and advance Spring commissioning work. We’ll be able to bring your boat into our heated facility and complete repairs, maintenance and Spring commissioning items over the Winter so you’ll be ready to go for Spring without having to get into the work que for repair and commissioning work during the busy season. In order to promote this service, we are continuing our 10% discount on any repair, maintenance or Spring commissioning work performed over the Winter. The Boat Center is also now offering storage of boats up to 25 Ft. on trailers at a discounted rate for the Winter. These boats must be shrinkwrapped to take advantage of this program.
